Hexagon Experiment

Version 1

Need to Have:
Double Knitting wool, any colour
4mm crochet hook

Need to Know:
ch – chain
tc – treble crochet - (double crochet to Americans)
dc – double crochet – (single crochet to Americans)
st - stitch
slst – slip stitch

Need to Do:

ch6, join with a slst to form a ring

Round 1 – ch3, 17tc into ring, join with slst in top of starting ch3.

Round 2 – ch3, 1tc, *ch10, 3tc, rep from * 4 more times, ch10, 1tc, join with slst in top of ch3

Round 3 – ch3, 2tc in same st as starting ch, 1tc in next st *ch10, 1tc, 3tc in next st, 1tc, rep from *
4 more times, ch10, 1tc, 3tc in next st, join with slst in top of ch3
Round 4 – ch 3, 1tc, 3tc in next st, 2tc, *ch10, 2tc, 3tc in next st, 2tc, rep from * 4 more times, ch10,
1tc, join with slst in top of ch3

Continue working in rounds always making 3tc increase in the middle st of the last rounds 3tc
increase. Work until you have 12 rounds.

Forming the chains

Starting from the centre lift up the 1st 10ch, pull the 2nd 10ch through it, holding the 2nd 10ch pull the
3rd 10ch through.... continue until the last round.
NOTE: I found it easier to form each chain as I came to it on the final round.

Final Round – ch3, *1tc in each tc until increase point, 3tc in next st, 1tc in each tc until 10ch space.
Form chain, work 3dc over last ch loop, repeat from* until all chains have been form, join with a
slst in top of ch3. Fasten off.
