Dear Colonel Sunil,

Hello and hope this mail finds you in good health and spirits. tried calling you a few mins ago
but you were probably busy on another call. As you know we are starting KIAMS - Pune in
August - on 1st August to be precise. Both HRR and Pune campus have now been approved
by AICTE, we are starting Pune late as some work still needs to be completed on the campus
- just finishing touches and also Pune seats are not yet fully taken, so we are also still dealing
with admissions. You are the first faculty I am writing to, so that the teaching can begin from
2nd August 2010. I know you are always there for KIAMS, but this is a formal invitation to
request you to conduct the course in Business Communication at KIAMS Pune - class of
2012. Will try calling you again, but in case I don’t get thru kindly let me know about your
acceptance asap. Regards to all at home.
Janaki
PS: More when we meet.

Dear Janaki Maam,
You won’t believe it – I had just written out this mail when you called. Hearty congrats on
“assuming command of KIAMS - Pune”. There couldn’t have been a better person than
you to head this new organization. My compliments. We are in Delhi – on a sad occasion.
As I mentioned to you, Ritu’s Dad passed away suddenly, late night of 02 Jul. We took the
first flight available and were in Delhi early morning of 03 Jul. I had to cancel my Muscat
trip and that’s the scene. Today is ‘Chautha’ – fourth day prayer ceremony. I have
everything on hold in Pune – have my B-School and Corporate commitments and will
therefore fly back to Pune on Fri. Ritu will stay on till the 17 th or so – she too has school to
attend. About the Pune KIAMS BC schedule. Can never ever say no to you – can I? I have
plenty of engagements Maam – Muscat is a regular – have been there 7 times already –
more Gulf countries on the cards. I am currently teaching at SIBM, SIMC, NIA, IBS and
ISCOM. Whew! That’s a large basket – plus MDPs for 4 Corporates – still I’ll get back to
Pune and see how the schedule is and revert to you. Let me tide the Delhi crisis. Warm
regards Maam.
Sunil

Dear Col Sunil and Ritu Maam,

My condolences. May God rest uncle's soul in peace and give the family the strength to
bear this loss. Look forward to talking/catching up with you when you get back to Pune.
Regards.

Dear Janaki Maam,
I need to know the following:
1. Location of KIAMS, Pune – actual permanent loc or presently in temporary
premises in Pune?
2. How many credits?
3. Would you be winding up the session in mid-Oct?
4. Frequency of BC classes – in a week.
Am asking you all this as there are commitments and I need to see that there is no clash –
that’s why? Do let me know. Regards.
Col Sunil Brijkrishan
PS: Must admit that I was surprised & a little hurt too, when I learnt that I wouldn’t be
required by KIAMS, Harihar, for BC classes this year. Even if you were looking at me
from the KIAMS, Pune point of view, it would have been in the fitness of things that the
management informed me; rather than I learn about this from the students - my long
standing association with KIAMS being the reason for this.

Dear Col Sunil,

Answers you seek:
1. Location of KIAMS, Pune? - KIAMS Pune is located at Village Dhamane - Near Tata
Foundry Maval. 15 kms from Hinjewadi - KPIT cummins or alternatively 5 kms from
Somatane Phata (Hinjewadi - Somatane Phata road).
2. How many credits? - 3 credits, as our intake is only 60, admission process is on.
3. Would you be winding up the session in mid-Oct? Yes 1st week Oct.
4.Frequency of BC classes – in a week. Flexible as of now - Thursday off, Sunday
working, if you give me available time slots, will try and fit them in. Regards.

Dear Col. Sunil,
Sorry I had missed the PS written by you in the earlier mail. I can understand your feelings
about not being informed, my only excuse is that this year I have not looked into the
operational working of PGDM so far in HARIHAR. In fact I have been in Pune since end
March and have been to Harihar only once for a few days, that were packed with curriculum
revision workshop. You won’t believe this but my house in Harihar has been packed up by
mom and sis and not me; have not had the time to transport the stuff, so it is still locked up
there. Apologies for not having responded to this point earlier and on behalf of the
management for not informing you about Harihar. Hope you have received the details asked
for earlier if not reproducing the mail below.
Once again my sincere apologies and hope an old friend will forgive and forget. Regards.

Dear Janaki Maam,
It was good catching up with you on phone this morning. I am glad I was able to cut-copy-
paste and squeeze in days for KIAMS – PUNE; primary reason - YOU being at the helm of
affairs. Am confirming the 10 dates we discussed this morning. There’s a possibility of only
one date being changed and should that happen, I’ll be grateful if you could affect that for
me. Instead of Sat, 28 Aug ’10, it could be Fri, 27 Aug ’10? As of now – no change – I will
be able to confirm this within two days. Do bear with me. I’ll request you to slot me for the10
am sessions on all the days so that I can get back to Pune and make up lost ground. These
dates will ensure I do the 30 hrs – 3 credits as desired – 3 hours each day.
1. Sat, 07 Aug ’10
2. Fri, 13 Aug ‘10
3. Sat, 21 Aug ‘10
4. Sat, 28 Aug ’10 – (May also be Fri, 27 Aug – as mentioned above. Will confirm).
5. Fri, 03 Sep ‘10
6. Fri, 10 Sep ‘10
7. Tue, 21 Sep ‘10
8. Fri, 24 Sep ‘10
9. Tue, 28 Sep ‘10
10. Fri, 01 Oct ‘10
May I also request you once again to give me the directions to get to the institute on Sunday –
I am trying my best to make it for both the events. Tushar Khanna’s demise was shocking. I
was in touch with him. He was to get married in Nov. RIP. Warm regards.

Dear Col. Sunil,
Thanks a ton for accepting our invitation and being available yesterday evening. Thanks also
for giving the dates for the whole of the term. Since the calendar is blank at the moment, will
accept all of them. Will also accommodate if any changes are required at a later date as far as
possible. directions to get to campus - come upto Hinjewadi bridge, turn left, go ahead to
KPIT Cummins, take a right turn in front of KPIT cummins - at that moment the restaurant
Mezza9 will be on your left - continue to follow the road - you will come to fork which has a
board FUNKY TOWN take the right hand side of the fork - after a while you will cross BoB
Priman International School, and ARK steel. You will then see a construction site - which is
KIAMS. If you come to Tata Foundry then you have overshot KIAMS by half a kilometer.
Yes the news about Tushar is unbelievable - but that is the way providence works. Feel really
sad for his parents and fiance. He was too young to go. Will see you on Sunday morning.
Regards.
Janaki
