Introduction to New Material (Time _______)


- Teacher is going to show a picture on the board, and asks students to write down a
few notes about what they see in the picture in English on their GN
- Goal is to describe 3 people (if time, or else 2) – probably 2, want to give enough
time for writing activity!
o Point out the people to describe to the students, let them write a few things

- Then, going to TYPE it on the computer while Ss copy down on their notes
o Proper way to describe people! Full sentences!

o Have students figure out the way to write the sentences, then make sure
they copy them down

- Students have to do own biography – Facebook/My Space activity
o Teacher will go over the different categories with the students – make sure
they know what each means
 Students will then have 10 minutes to fill out the categories for
themselves on their worksheets
• Have to do it in full sentences!
o “Me llamo..” “Soy de…”
o Have students use dictionaries if need to look
something up!

- Once students are done filling out the Facebook template, they the have to create
a whole description of themselves – in paragraph form; written on separate sheet
of paper
o Work on this in class – if finish in class, turn in for classwork
 Or else finish for homework!

Materials:
- copies of facebook/myspace template – put on GN

- finish the writing assignment, if did not already turn it in
