 Surveillance Technology

The system is subdivided into the observation towers

in the field and the central office.

The Optical Sensor System with

pre-processing controllers. Therefore the
observation towers only transmit the
necessary imaging and controlling software.
The power supply for the towers can be main,
or optional, solar, wind or fuel cells.

The Optical Sensor System in the

field monitor the area at all times.
Depending on atmospheric transparency
and the landscape, each camera can
cover a range up to 15 km in radius
(700 km2)

If there are any suspicious findings they

are immediately send to the central office.
An optional outdoor radio unit (LiMAX)
or ISDN equipment is used for communi-
cation with the central office.

The visual displays and procedures

are optimized for handling up to
5 towers per computer and operator.
