New health communication technologies come in a variety of sources.

Doctors can now use inventions

such as video phone or chat to see a patient as well as check up on them. They can use the internet to
let a patient know when prescriptions are ready or when it is time for another visit and they even keep
records on computers now instead of on paper.

I have found now a days that most Doctors are not very gifted when it comes to communication. I have
had several doctors where the visits included yes or no questions and a very awkward silent check up or
exam. I have searched and searched for a Dr I liked. Well with my wife’s neurologist he is very into new
technology. First of all he has his own web site where the patients can log on and ask questions, make
appointments, view diagnosis, or even check on prescriptions. I have also found I really enjoy the
electronic medical records more than paper. When my first grand daughters were born my daughter’s
records were all on paper, somehow they lost some of her file and she never got her epidural. When my
newest grand daughter was born all my daughters records were on the computer which made
everything go much faster and smoother.
