DRAMA REFLECTION 2

I liked the mirror activity . In this activity , we did what our partner did. When he /she
held his hair , I did the same thing. When I did sth he/she did the same thing. We could
observe in our partner. I felt as if there were another Emine.

As a teacher is like an actor , a model , a leader , he must be aware of his body


language, know what he is doing in the class . Because the words are meaningless
without the body language. We give the same message with whwt we do and say. I think,
this activity has contributed to us at this point to be a better English teacher .

The second activity was finger following . First, I couldn’t understand what we were
doing, but then I understood we were working cooperatively with our partner with the
same aim. We were in harmony with him/her. We were taking a responsibility. Also it
was a bit tiring to follow your partner’s finger.

In ELT, we can use this activity to teach the sts the directions, geometrical shapes.

Lastly, we read poems to understand how it is important for a teacher to use his
voice effectively.

We read our poems changing rote, volume, quality, pitch and we saw the difference.

Teachers are leaders in the classroom , so they should make himself listened to by his
sts. It is in the hand of the teachers to use the voice effectively and we can train it.

In ELT, we can use this activity in teaching pronunciations’ of some words, giving
instructions, warning a student and in English Literature department while reading
poems.
