THE SEVEN INDONESIAN FIGURATIVE ARTISTS EXHIBITION

The Government of The republic of Indonesia is very pleased to participate the fifth annual
Qurain Festival on November 14 - December 10, 1998 in Kuwait, Organized by Kuwait National
Council for culture, art and letters.
In this Festival, Indonesia will bring forward to show to the public "Seven Indonesian
Figurative Artists” and we hope that your visit to the Festival will give an opportunity to see and get
feeling of Indonesian art and culture.
Indonesia has rich various kinds of art and culture, whether traditional or religious. And one
cof these kinds, The Rudana Art Foundation which has cultural institution and has rendered its siz-
able contribution to the development of culture through the establishment of the magnificent
Rudana Museum with its impressive collections.
‘On behalf of the Goverment of Republic of Indonesia, I hope through art, social and culture
activities to strong good relation between Indonesia Kuwait and others countries.
And also [ think the Kuwait National council for culture, Art and letters for arranging this
exhibition which Indonesia takes part in, Congratulation, and I hope all aspect of the programme for
the exhibition will ran smoothly and be as successful as we would all wishes and may Allah Ta’ Ala

This participation mast have been prompted by a noble ‘wish to promote the cultural values
of the Balinese in particular and the Indonesian nation in general. Hence, the Rudana Museum has
Put its utmost effort into representing the Indonesian cultural in this exhibition. I am sure this
endeavour will attract considerable attention from the community of artists and culturalist the world
‘vee. This is one of the many efforts fo promote good relationships in order to enrich life and the
development of cultural art, particularly of fine am, which is ‘being consciously and widely devel-
coped nowadays.
