Taking the leap

On 16 October 2010, I finally
surrendered my thoughts of self-
ish solitarily living and made the
pledge to eternally share my
space, thoughts and odours with
one inspiring person. Manifesting
those last-mentioned thoughts is a
whole other discussion meant to
be scripted in twenty years time.
I’m far too inexperienced for
that. For now let me indulge in my
blind naïvety of being young and
being in love.
with some thoughts on love and
relationships:
I know marriage isn’t easy, espe-
cially in brain-washed Christian
ideology. We blindly enter our
marriages believing that our faith
will dissolve all problems. This is
a lie and this is not my opinion ei-
ther: the divorce rate in Christian
culture is higher than any other.
It tells us that somewhere we
lost our perception on relation-
ships, which ultimately sways our
thoughts on Jesus Christ, the self-
dubbed groom to us, His bride.
Three things are certain when two
souls collide to become one:
One - Sacrifice is inevitable. Dr.
Phil once said (YES, I watch Dr.
Phil) in reference to a marriage.

Three - It is an adventure. It is one
hell of a ride, sometimes bumpy,
sometimes smooth, but always
adventurous.
So with this in mind I’m doing my
brain-washed, sacrificial, difficult
and adventurous Grand Jeté, hop-
ing for the best and resisting the
worst, learning how to have a re-
lationship not only with my bride,
but also with my Groom.
