T2550 v2.2 to v4.0

MOD_DO_UIO
2000
T2550
We have recently discovered an issue with T2550 that can cause de-synchronisation of redundant
processors if using the MOD_DO_UIO block in the strategy. This issue is potentially present in all 26/2700
versions of T2550 software from v2.2 to v4.0.
3000
Simplex processor applications are not effected by this issue.
MINI8®
The MOD_DO_UIO is the Digital Output Module Block that allows connection of up to eight logic Controller
signals in the T2550 to eight digital output channels in a single block and provides
Auto/Manual/Track control, and inversion in a single block. Graphic

Symptoms
Where redundant processor T2550 databases are using the MOD_DO_UIO block there may be

difficulties in synchronising or the processors appear to synchronise and then immediately Recorders

Engineering Solution Products
There no issues with the MOD_UIO and the DO_UIO blocks.
It is recommended to replace MOD_DO_UIO with MOD_UIO and individual DO_UIO block as T Series
necessary. Where data base size prevents this option a permanent solution is in development
Eycon™
testing.

Permanent Solution Supervisor
A permanent solution for this problem has been developed and this version is currently
undergoing independent test. This fix will be released in T2550 version 4.1.
