Connections

Switches will
operate at either
location
The most common wrong connection is the common
wire being installed on one of the traveler terminals.

The common screw will be a different color

(i.e. silver) from the travelers (i.e. brass).
 4-way Switches

You can add any number of 4-way switches to the travellers as long
as you use 3-ways on the ends.
 Motor Start-Stop Stations
Does not matter how many stations, the stop buttons are series and the start are
paralleled, as in two locations.

1. The momentary start switch closes, then when released opens.

2. The M coil energizes, closing contact AUX and the line to load contacts of the
equipment.
3. The AUX contact or Interlock, maintains power to the M coil until power is
interrupted.

Auto switch can be any switch that operates independently of HOA switch.
