Classroom with practice observed in the field, thus improving
their education. As such, the department requires each student
to complete two practical of hospitality field work experience.

Nowadays, the increased number of students In the hotel,


restaurant and tourism management program was increasing every
year and because of this it was one of the great concern in the
school. The purpose of the study was to examine the factors
affecting the 2 year college student shifters why they had
chosen the course Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. The
affects of the perceptions of factors that facilitate and
constrain students’ career advancement and determine of there
were any significant differences influenced them. The study went
further to identify why Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management
student, educators and recruiters think hotel, restaurant and
tourism management education programs should do to better
prepare student for leadership positions and ways to help reduce
the barriers that may exist to student career advancement
Review of Related Literature and studies

This presents both foreign and local literature related to


the study conducting this research study several sources have
been gathered to enrich the researcher’s knowledge about the
topics.

According to Howard “bud” James (1998). There are many


advantages in selecting a career in hotel, Restaurant and
tourism industry. There are unlimited opportunities to
advancement and the greatest advantage is the tremendous job
satisfaction received on a daily basis in the industry.

According to OECD Education Ministers (2005). Today’s societies


place challenging demands on individuals who are confronted with
complexity in many parts of their lives. What do these demands
imply for key competencies can improve assessment of how well
prepared students for life’s challenges, as well as identifying
over arching goals for education system and lifelong learning

The figure presents the research paradigm showing the inputs,

includes the respondents’ profile which is the gender, age and

Significance of the Study


The essence of this research study is an advantage for
those who want unlimited career opportunities for them to
be encourage to enroll in this kind of course.
BSHRTM. In this study it is essential in a course itself.
The Students. The study helps the HRTM students to be aware
and to know their preferred course have many opportunities.
The Researchers. The findings of the study will enable the
researchers to assess their study.

Scope and Delimitation of the Study


This study is delimited with the student college shifters
to BSHRTM of SPUP. This study will be limited to their
preferred course.
