DRAMA REFLECTION 301

In this week we did an activity that we followed our partner’s finger. It

was very useful for teacher candidates since it was a good way to catch and
understand our partner’s movements also maybe his/her feelings. Moreover this
activity is related with monitoring our students. What is more, we learnt that
using classroom space effectively is very crucial point for our teaching and our
students’ learning. When we can’t adjust the proximity (sometimes we are seen
like guardians), our students may feel uncomfortable and get distracted from the
lesson so we should pay attention to where to put ourselves in the class.

I can use the activity in my lessons to motivate and make students feel
comfortable and to create a relaxed classroom environment to have more fruitful
lessons. When my students are fed up with the lesson, I can use the activity as an
energizer. Also as a teacher being able to adjusting the proximity and smelling
classroom environment is very important for us to be better teachers so we
should pay attention to this our demos not to make mistakes in our teaching.
