Math 1 - Operations and Expressions

Students will be able to understand the concept of number, apply processes of computation and
estimation, and evaluate the reasonableness of solutions.

 Students will be able to simplify and perform operations with integers.

 Students will be able to evaluate expressions for specified values.

I will be able to solve a variety of equations using observation, algebraic and GDC techniques.

 I will be able to solve single-step equations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

 I will be able to solve two and three step equations.

 I will be able to solve equations with variables on both sides

 I will be able to solve equations that use The Distributive Property.

 I will be able to check that my solution is correct.

 I will be able to use algebra to model, analyze and solve scenarios involving patterns and real life
situations.
