There are several variations on how to do it. Player uses a big bicycle kick out to establish the stable base in order to make the pass. ‘¢ Jump half turn opposed: The attacker tries to force the defender backwards with by shrugging into the defender, gaining contact and then stepping out to pass (make sure shrug doesn’t create a turnover). ¢ Releasing by taking a stroke: This is very important when playing against a press. There are several components to it, the first is to take a stroke in front of the defender, then bring your knees & shins up into the defenders chest, then take a second stroke with the same arm and then rollout to receive the ball (The other part ofthis drill is for the passer to make sure that they pass the ball to the correct spot where the attacker can easily move onto it, not to far away and not to close) 4 Releasing players should practice receiving the ball from both directions using either hand to pass: 2 Core Skil ar Drills = ‘Wren by N- Hume
