Code of Ethics to resolve ethical predicaments of teaching profession

Abstract
The work ethics is a cultural norm which advocates being personally accountable
and responsible for the job one does. This holds an important value for the educ
ation professionals. The institutions today expect their faculty members to deve
lop certain desirable traits that will help them to perform their jobs well so t
hat the institute’s objectives are fulfilled. The code of Ethics and code of condu
ct being a set of moral principles, governs the behavior, involves attitude, res
pect, communication and interaction. Ethics presents the ‘need to know’ essentials f
or work place, those who are unaware of these standards risk losing their job an
d dignity and becoming part of the ‘revolving door of entry level employee’. This pa
per is an attempt to accumulate educator ethics. It can be adopted by institutio
ns as a document of code of Ethics.
