Local Project Manager - OTD Optics Backbone/FAD

Tasks and Responsibilities

 Manage customer expectations v/s contractual obligations

 Anticipate customer bottlenecks
 Manage acceptance of equipment / sub systems
 Detect and determine claims and up-scopes
 Plan and Manage overall OTD Backbone/FAD Implementation Activities
 Ensure efficient implementation as per scope, in line with project quality standards
and with in budget
 Anticipate ODMs, Labels, Engineering inputs in coordination with GNEIC
 Reporting of critical requirements and manage change request through pre-sales
and PMO
 Track the operations overrun, and value the corresponding over-costs.
 Resources/Tools forecast and optimization
 Report project progress / Issues / Lessons Learnt.
 Provide input for Cost Follow-up
 Follow-up and optimize the local cost in collaboration with the Financial controller.
 Identify, Mitigate Technical and Operational Risks in collaboration with TPM & PM.
 Give proactive feedback on BOQ/IC definition in order to lead to feasible and optimal
IC execution.
 Participate to transfer meetings and offer meeting in order to formalize a starting
point of Alcatel commitments on the whole OTD Backbone/FAD projects.
 Report Products issues and claims management through PMO and BackOffice PM
 Improve processes within OTD/FAD organization
 Coach and Train any of identified local resource taking over LPM position on the
OTD backbone project.
 Provide proactive improvement and development plan for the identified resource
 Provide project documentation and archive files of the projects

Competences
 Good knowledge of Transmission, GSM and SDH technology.
 Very Good skills in MUX configurations and DWDM.
 Knowledge of Bandwidth allocation and Understand of IP/MPLS technology will
be added advantage.
 Must be a team player and able to work under pressure
 Good Knowledge of Project Management
 Good communication skills in writing and speaking English.
 Good interpersonal skills

Qualification
 B.Sc/B.Eng in Electrical/Computer/Telecoms Engineering
 At least 5 years cognate working experience in Backbone Optic Fiber domain
