A history of innovative printing for tea bag tags, sachets and
cartons has positioned Printcare as a supplier of unsurpassed
quality in the world. These same strengths have led us to
provide other diversified printing and packaging solutions for a
variety of end use.
In the early 80's, the Sri Lankan tea industry began to see the
merits of transferring value to the tea it produced by exporting
tea in a pre-packaged form. Printcare's founders were Merrill J
Fernando and K R Ravindran. One was passionate about his
tea and the other knew all about putting ink on paper. They
both recognized the need to support these pioneering brands.
The advent of Printcare made available quality and cost-
effective packaging to the tea bag industry in Sri Lanka, fuelling
the growth of locally produced brands. As a logical
consequence, overseas producers of tea bags began to source
their packaging from Printcare.

We offer comprehensive and efficient pre-press services to a
global clientele. We have the capability to work with multiple
file formats and provide seamless interfacing between global
customers and print production in Sri Lanka.
PRODUCTION
Printcare is equipped with state-of-the-art technology in offset,
gravure, flexo and screen printing processes. Combined with
our sound knowledge of industries and their products, we are
able to offer a range of specialized print solutions. We print on
sheets and reels on a variety of substrates. We offer
possibilities of producing heat transfers, variable imaging and
a variety of poly coatings and laminates.
FINISHING
We offer a full range of finishes required for cartons, labels,
tags and publishing. The company also works closely with
clients to develop innovative pack designs which help their
products stand out on a retail shelf.
Because of our familiarity with the industry, we can also ensure
smoother performance of our material on their own machines
cutting down waste and assuring higher productivity.
