The TMS 9960 requires @ Veg supply (pin 21) while the TMS 9981 has an internal charge pump to generate Vag from Voc and Vp. 2. The TMS 9881 has an optional onchip crystal oscillator in addition to the external clock mode of the ‘TMs 99800, 3.
