This Matrix represents the # of stopovers going to and from

halifax.

PART B

The equation that would work best for the cost of

a daily pass over time would be quadreg
(ax^2+bx+c) =(.5x^2+1.7x+5.5)

The equation that would work best for the cost of

a weekly pass over time would be quadreg
(1.25x^2+1.25+26.25)
#2

Using the quadreg regression the cost of a daily

pass is 84.7$

Using quadreg equation the cost of a weekly pass

is 53.75$
The weekly pass would be the most reliable
Since it s the cheapest. And it remains the
cheapest as years go by
#2-2

89/(.13)+10/(.13)+16/(.13)+20/(.13)=1038.46
The amount they should budget is 1038.46
PART C
(Your friend has researched the cost of hotels in
Halifax and collected the data shown below)

#1- the mean for this question is found by adding

all the values divided by# of values which is
125.21 this would be the average cost for all the
hotels per night.
The standard deviation
Question # 2

Mean=125.21
At 13% HST and 2% Hotel tax
125.21(2)x.13=32.55$
125.21(2)x.02=5.01$
Add both of those figures to the mean then divide
it by two since they are sharing a room.
250.42+32.55+5.01=287.98/2
They should both budget143.99$ each.
#3

143.99+225(.13)=173.24

They should budget 173.24$ each for the entire

trip
