POSITION DESCRIPTION

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary

The Staff Accountant will work on an individual and team basis within the Accounting and Finance
Department. He or she is responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial information. This
person will deliver consistent and accurate information on a timely basis. To be successful in this
position, the individual must be able to time manage, display an extremely high level of organizational
skills and display honesty and integrity when producing, delivering and distributing information. In
addition, a high level of confidentiality must be maintained at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support day to day operational functions in the Accounting Department for the licensed stores
• Track and compute rebates for licensed stores
• Create and monitor vendor rebates for financed products
• Prepare payroll labor cost to budget reports
• Work with IT to monitor and track capital assets
• Review Vencom reports weekly for accuracy
• Assist Controller in month end closing the books
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of Accounting Departments Policy and Procedures Manual
• Other operating duties as deemed appropriate by the Controller

Training and Experience

Education: Four Year Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred

Experience: Two (2) years in an accounting environment, with experience in general ledger
production, month end closing processes, financial statement preparation
General Skills:

• Excellent organizational skills


• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Strong time management capabilities
• Multitasking
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
• Possess a professional demeanor

Work Environment

Environment is in a shared office space within a corporate office facility. Position may require a flexible
schedule, extended hours, or weekends to accommodate company needs.
