BLOOMFRAME®, the dynamic balcony

Bloomframe is an innovative window frame that can be
®
transformed into a balcony. Bloomframe offers the user a flexible
living environment. By opening the window frame, it is possible to
walk out through the façade and to enjoy a comfortable balcony.
The dynamic balcony enables adding outdoor space to compact
apartments in urban high-rise areas.

The Bloomframe balcony can be operated automatically in one
movement with one control. With one push of the button, people
will have several square metres of outdoor space at their
disposal. The system includes provisions to guarantee collapse
safety during opening and closing. The drive consists of an rpm-
controlled electric motor that operates the balcony at two points
via an auto-braking reduction (drop safety). The movement is
transferred by tie rods from these linear guides. The fully open
position is limited mechanically, which guarantees optimum
safety of the converted balcony. The application of a combined
powered / mechanical movement makes the system user-friendly
and easy to open and close for everyone.

- Assembled from insulated aluminium profiles and steel-
reinforced connection points.
- Electrical drive (230V) with frequency control and
integrated end setting, including dead man’s control
(remote control optional).
- Photoelectric safety during opening and closing.
- Sidewalls made from folding lamination system (aluminium
/ plastic).
- Balustrade fitted with layered drop-safe insulated glass.
- Floor surface from sandwich panel (e.g. anti-skid cover
panels).
- Constructional attachment to inner leaf and / or ceiling and
floor deck.
- Built-in depth approximately 450 mm, measured from the
front of the window.
- Window frame width left / right: approx. 200 mm
- Window frame width top bottom: approx. 150 mm
- Final dimensions project-dependent.
