Dear Matt

Congratulations - our records show that you have accepted a place to study here at AUT University. We would
like to welcome you to our University and hope your time with us is a rewarding and enriching experience.
We hope that the application process was a smooth and hassle-free experience for you. If you have any
outstanding questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Student Information Centre on (09) 921 9779.
What happens now?
From here on in it will be up to the academic department to contact you regarding your enrolment. You will also
now receive notifications regarding your enrolment via the post from the academic department in which you are
studying. In order to complete your enrolment you will need to complete the following steps.
Paper selection and fee payment
Once your papers have been finalised you will receive an invoice that will stipulate the tuition and course fees
you are required to pay. If you are paying by Student Loan, we suggest you apply for your Student Loan as
soon as possible. You do not need to wait for your invoice to do this.
Visit www.studylink.govt.nz. You will need to pay your fees by the date specified on your invoice.
Attend Orientation
You will need to attend the AUT Orientation. It is really important that you attend as you will receive information
on your programme, campus tours and a chance to meet others from your programme. You will be sent a letter
outlining when your Orientation is. Alternatively you can visit www.aut.ac.nz/orientation.
ID Cards
A student identification card (ID card) will be posted to you once you have supplied a photograph and paid your
tuition fees (check your address details in Arion are correct).
Are you in the right programme?
Sometimes finding a programme that's right for you can be tricky. For many students who come to university it is
often a rush to find a programme and get accepted. Understanding that not everyone chooses the right
programme first time, AUT has a range of services to help those students who are thinking of changing their
programme of study. To find out more contact the Student Information Centre.
Yours sincerely
