My name is Zach Luttrell. I’m a freshman at Marian University in Indianapolis,

Indiana. I’m majoring in music education. I was a member of the marching band at
Beech Grove High School from 2006-2010. We competed in several ISSMA (Indiana
State School Music Association) Competitions, including State Finals were we placed
fifth in 2009. The marching has continued on here at Marian University. I’ve been
playing my instrument, the tuba, since sixth grade. I’m sending this letter today to ask
you for your contribution in helping me pay for an amazing experience this coming
summer. I will be marching with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. The corps is based
out of Dubuque, Iowa. The fees itself are $2700 per member. I’m asking you from
anything from $5 to all $2700 if you really wanted to help! Your sponsorship will be
listed next to my name at corps events, and you get to use this sponsorship as a tax
write off!! I’m asking for help financially, because I simply cannot afford this amazing
experience. As a music education major a summer of drum corps would be the most
beneficial thing you could ever ask for! Drum Corp is the marching band equivalent of
the NFL (National Football League). Only the best of the best musicians get accepted to
compete summer long. I’m hoping you can find it in you to help me out on my way to
what will be the most memorable event of my lifetime! If you cannot or simply wish not
