Background:
The TM1 Budget tool is designed to be used as an online tool by those users directly inputting
information. However there are times when some of the information displayed in the templates
needs to be reviewed by other staff.

The Revenue and Operating Expenditure can be exported using the export button as detailed in the
Submit Budget document however for the Human Resources and Contract s areas a manual copy is
required as shown below. The instructions are for both areas.

To copy the details of a template out go to the required details

Left Click on the first cell you wish to capture e.g. Department and then holding the Left mouse
button down drag the mouse across the cells you wish to copy

The cells that have been selected for copying will be shaded and bound by a solid black line.

Once the required cells have been selected right click and select Copy

Click on the Office Button in the top left hand corner and then from the drop down
list select New and then Blank Workbook and the Create button

When the new workbook opens, right click in the first cell and select Paste Special

In the Paste Special window ensure you select Values

This will then copy in the values shown in the TM1 template. This can then be saved and forwarded
as required. NB: Changes made to the saved spreadsheet will not be made in TM1 and will need to
be manually entered once the sheet has been finalised.
