 The type of décor you use for an event will heavily
depend upon the occasion. From choosing colors to
arranging the decorations, you should consider what
the event is being held for in order to achieve an
impressive, appropriate look. Decorating events does
not have to be expensive, and a variety of looks can
be achieved without spending tons of money.

The most basic photographer backdrop is the seamless paper. Normally found in
53-140” rolls in a variety of colors, this basic easy backdrop costs about $20-30
per roll. Choice of colors is very individual and specific to the application. A portrait
photographer is likely to want colors to set off the skin tones: white, grays and
black are useful. For product photography, a color in contrast to the product is
best.
 Muslin Backgrounds
 Muslins can easily be folded and brought with you to various locations. They have minute
wrinkles naturally, any prominent fold lines or wrinkles can easily be steamed out. Do not Iron
your muslin, ironing it may ruin your muslin and your iron.
 All muslins are painted to be hung at approximately 10' (3 meters) . Most muslins are machine
washable in cold water on a gentle cycle. It is easier sometimes to simply clean the Muslin
using a damp cloth. Typically darker colors tend to fade slightly.
 Canvas comes rolled in a tube the length of the backdrop. (i.e.
a 10'X20' canvas will come rolled in a 10' tube. A 6'X8' canvas
will come rolled in a 6' tube.) Before muslins, there were
canvases
All styles are printed or hand-painted on a poly/canvas. canvas
backgrounds do need a suspension system. A motorized
backdrop stand is the usual means, but there are background
rollers that mount to the ceilings of larger studios
 Arranging Sponsors
 1) Draw up a list of companies and/or organisations.
 2) Fact sheet providing information about your company
 3) Figure out how much funding you will need
 4) Outlining sponsor benefits and deliverables
 5) Decipher sponsorship levels such as platinum, gold, silver or bronze.
 6) provide the sponsors with additional publicity by sending out press materials with
information on their level of sponsorship.
 7) You are limited only by your imagination when it comes to thinking of items to have
sponsored. there will be a promotional gift company that will be able to satisfy your needs.
 8) Circulate a letter of introduction and a sponsorship form to your list of potential sponsors,
making sure it looks professional and attractive.
 9) Be totally honest about the expected number of delegates
  10) Send a written sponsorship agreement, making it clear exactly what is included in the
package
 11) It is essential that designs for your sponsored items are approved by the company.
 12) Send a thanks letter to the sponsors.
 13) A letter of support from a politician will put your sponsor's mind at ease
 14) Seek support for information and ideas with NGO networks and coalitions - nationally and
internationally
