GUIDELINES ON HIRINGAND DEPLOYMENT OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS
IN NAGACITYDIVISION

1. In compliance with DepEDOrderNo. 57,'s. 2007 Re: Guidelineson Hiring
and Deploymentof PreschoolTeachersand RepublicAct 7836 - "Philippin
TeachersProfessionalization Act of 1994 which providesthat no person shall
engagein teachingand / or act as professional teacher....whetherin the preschoo
elementary,or secondarylevelsunlesss/he is duly registeredprofessionalteacher
and a holderof a validcertificateof registrationand a valid,professional
licenseor a
holderof a valid special/ temporarypermit",you are herebyinformedthat effective
SchoolYear 2010- 2011 and onwards,this Divisionwill hire preschoolteache
applicantsto handleDepEDSubsidizedPreschool Classeswho satisfythe followin
qualifications:
a. Educational Attainment:

b. Mustbe a LETeligible
c. WithTeachingExperiencein preschoolshallbe givenpriority;and
d. A residentof the municipality/ barangaywhere preschoolclassesare
organized.
2. RA 7836, Section 28, states that any person who practicethe teaching
professionin the Philippineswithoutbeingcertifiedin accordancewith the provision
of the saidactwillfineof not lessthanfivethousandpesos(Php.5,000.00)nor more
thantwentythousandpesos(Php.20,000.00)or imprisonment of not lessthan six
(6) monthsnor morethanfive (5) yearsor bothat the discretionof the court;

althoughon contractualbasis,shouldbe LET / PBET - eligiblesor have PRC
License.
4. Principalsare instructedto advisewould be PreschoolTeachersto attach
PRCLicensein the contract.
