VANTAGE PDMS 11.6

Windows 2000/XP
Dear Customer,

The content of this release No. 51314-1 is a single release of VANTAGE PDMS 11.6
for installation on the platform Windows 2000/XP.
This version contains PDMS modules’ executables (bannered Mk 11.6), appware and
data files.
This release will only work on an Intel or compatible computer.
See the Quality Note for operating system details. The File System must be NTFS.
This product requires the (provided) security product FLEXMAN3.1

This release works with : -

Flexman 3.1, Final Designer 1.1, Router 2.4 and Global 2.3

Note, that at this release, as Windows NT is no longer supported by Microsoft,

PDMS11.6 and AVEVA products released to run with PDMS11.6
are no longer supported on Windows NT.

Electronic Reference Manuals

This release includes electronic manuals which are visible on the CD-ROM and will also be
placed under the product directories once installed.

To install VANTAGE PDMS 11.6

You must be running a Web Browser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Load the CD-ROM into your CD drive and read in the file start.htm, e.g. E:\start.htm
Follow the instructions to extract the PDMS 11.6 release.
Refer to the Installation Guides for PDMS11.6 and FLEXMAN3.1 to,
1. Configure Windows 2000/XP parameters
2. Configure the Display Driver
3. Obtain FLEXMAN and PDMS licenses from AVEVA Engineering IT Customer Services
Administration.
4. Set environment variables to access the FLEXMAN license and your PDMS projects
5. Finally have FLEXMAN3.1 running

Upgrading any PDMS 11 projects

Upgrade procedures for PDMS projects currently at 11.2, 11.3, 11.3.SP1, 11.4, 11.4.SP1,
11.4.SP2, 11.5 or 11.5.SP1 are documented in the PDMS11.6 Installation Guide.
