Ethics is a theory or a system of moral values. It is also referred to as the rules or standards
governing the conduct of a person or the members of a profession. Ethics is based on a set of
moral and ethical values. These values must be absolute - that is, you must take them
seriously enough to override any human rationalization, weakness, ego, or personal faults.
1. Honesty- The old adage, "honesty is the best policy" is true today more than ever.
2. Integrity- Integrity connotes strength and stability. It means taking the high road by
practicing the highest ethical standards. Demonstrating integrity shows completeness
and soundness in your character.
3. Responsibility - Blaming others, claiming victimhood, or passing the buck may solve
short-term crises, but refusal to take responsibility erodes respect and cohesion in an
individual’s life. Ethical people take responsibility for their actions.
4. Trust- there's no free ride. Trust is hard to earn and even harder to get back after
you've lost it.
5. Empathy- the ability to sense others feelings and help them in some way is also very
important in life.
6. Committment- It is avery important aspect of one’s life. It refers to our dedication
towards our responsibilites and duties as well.
7. Teamwork- Two or more employees together make a team. It is the need of the hour
to work openly and supportively in teams whether formal or informal.
8. Leadership- A leader is out front providing an example that others will follow.
9. Loyalty- it provides the motivation to be moving ahead in life with positivity around
yourself.
"What is wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it. Right is still right, even if no one else
is doing it." - William Penn
