Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we extend a warm

welcome to you to attend IORACON-2011; the Annual
Conference of Indian Orthopaedic Rheumatology
Association to be held in the North-Eastern Region for the
first time on 9th and 10th of April, 2011. The Conference is
being organized by the Department of Orthopaedics,
NEIGRIHMS (North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional
Institute of Health & Medical Sciences), Shillong with support
from NEIGRIHMS administration and many well-wishers
within the region and of the Country.

The Theme of the Conference is to carry forward the

Mission of the Association 'to improve the quality of care to
IORACON-2011
arthritic patients through sharing of knowledge, commitment
and advocacy'. With this theme we hope to congregate the 9th -10th April, 2011
arthritis care givers of the region for better. The academic
faculty comprises of renowned experts ensuring fruitful Organized by:
exchange of ideas, scientific opinions and experiences to The Department of Orthopaedics
update the present body of knowledge and wisdom for better
management of arthritis and related disorders in terms of NEIGRIHMS, Shillong
evidence based practices, cost-effectiveness and safety for
Indian patients.

Shillong, the Capital of Meghalaya ('The Abode of the

Clouds') is one of the best hill stations in India; located at an
altitude of 4,908 ft (1,496 m) and set amidst a picturesque
landscape of pine covered hills, lush green meadows and
captivating waterfalls; still retaining its charm even though
Shillong is transforming itself into a modern hill city. So,
friends! Come and join us for a rich scientific session and
experience the warmth of Meghalaya and the North-East.
