1. extract crack.zip to c:\flexlm. edit c:\flexlm\abaqus.lic,
replace the <name> in first line with your hostname, then save it. remember, DO NOT modify anything else in this file. 2. run lmtools.exe, configuration using service, then click congfig service tab, set 'path to lmgrd.exe' with C:\flexlm\LMGRD.EXE, set 'path to the license file' with C:\flexlm\abaqus.lic, select 'use sercices', then click 'save service' button. now click start/stop/reread tab, click start server button. ok. now flexlm service should be start. 3. set the enviroment string: set LM_LICENSE_FILE=27000@<your hostname> dont forget to replace <your hostname> with your true hostname:) 4. install abaqus 6.4, dont install license server 'cause we already configed it. just select 2 complete installation. when asked for flexlm license server, use 27000@<your hostname>. if your flexlm service started properly, the installation will continue. otherwise, goback to step 1 and check. Notes: If you get error message such as SetPixelFormat() failed, when you try to start start abaqus cae or viewer, please edit C:\ABAQUS\6.4-1\site\graphicsConfig.env, modify the last 4 line: hardwareAcceleration = hardwareAcceleration <---change this to OFF Big Thanks to TEAM LND for their nice supply!
