Victor Frankenstein is a monster I scientist. He takes parts from dead
I living people and builds a new machine I man with them. This huge I
small and beautiful I ugly monster needs food I love, but everybody I
nobody cares about him, and so he soon learns to hate I hope.

created him, and destroys I steals everything that Frankenstein loves.

Read Chapter 1. Can you guess the answers to these questions?

1 Is the driver of the first sledge the monster? No, is the second sledge
the monster.
2 Why was the second sledge chasing the first one? Because, the
second sledge was movinf fast, and was a smaller figure, more like
an ordinary man.
3 Where is the 'huge figure' now? Has he escaped? He escaped;

FATHER: He talked about kindness and love. And he asked for my help

FELlX: Friends? He looked like a monster.
FATHER: Perhaps he looked like a monster, Felix, but that doesn't mean
he had an evil heart.
FELlX: I'm sure he could be dangerous.
FATHER: But you hit him first - and he didn't fight back.
FELlX: That's because he want to saw your reaction.
FATHER: But was it fair to hit him with your stick?
FELIX: Well, I think that he is very evil.
FATHER: What! Leave our home! Why should we do that?

FATHER: Well, I thought he was just an unhappy, lonely man, not a
murderer. But if you say we must go, then we'll go.

When the monster followed Victor to Britain, what was he

Perhaps Victor's father wrote to Elizabeth on the way home from

The first time that I read the title, I thought that
Frankenstein was the monster, but in the first chapter, I
understood that Frankenstein is the scientist.

information, or be mysterious?
