Position: Math/Science Content Editor Job Description Need candidate with experience and background in Math and possibly Science at the 9"*- 12" grade levels, The candidate for this position will be asked to edit manuscripts according to project guidelines, schedules, budgets, and divisional standards of quality and accuracy: may write or rewrite portions of manuscript: proofread copy and make necessary corrections. Responsibilities Write and edit according to guidelines: improve overall content of manuscript by eliminating wordiness, jargon, passive voice, and adding effective transitions. Desired Skills & Experience BA or BS required, Masters preferred, 3+ years experience in educational publishing is a must along with 3+ years in editing curriculum manuscripts. + Is up-to-date on the latest trends in education, and is able to develop creative solutions for instructional needs, + Is familiar with emerging trends in web-based instruction and can develop non-print solutions. + Isintimately familiar with state standards for K-12 learning and the textbook marketplace. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic team environment. Knowledge of basic bookmaking processes is necessary. Familiarity with mathematics and media content a plus; mathematics degree and teaching experience preferred. Pay Range: 35,000 - 42,000 ie Location: In-house Position in Lewisville, Texas
