Procedures and Benefits of a Reiki Massage or Treatment.

Reiki would be beneficial to people looking for , energy healing, holistic

healing or just relaxation, because of so many other options available in
healthcare today those looking for alternatives from prescription
medication, people with high stress or depression and those who are looking
for chakra balance would especially benefit because of the "Life Force
Energy" that Reiki can produce.

Below are the steps taken when giving a Reiki treatment:

(Reiki treatment can only be given by someone who is a Reiki Master.)

(Based on the practitioner, Reiki can also be given without any physical
touching of the client)

1. Set up massage table with a fitted sheet, sheet and warm blanket over the
top. Put cradle up with cover on it.

2. If needed turn relaxation music on for client.

3. Warm room to desired temperature.

4. When first meeting with client have intake form filled out and answer any
questions they may have.

5. Explain to the client what Reiki is and how the session will take place and
approximately how long.

6. Discuss with client what they are looking for with there Reiki treatment.

7. After all questions and/or concerns have been answered, escort client to
treatment room.

8. Show client to table and based on their preference the client may or may
not want to remove certain articles of clothing.

9. Tell client you are going to step outside of the door while they undress,
once they are undressed lay face down or prone on massage table and to
pull the blankets over them up to neck.

10. Knock on door to make sure client is situated.

11. Once ok to enter make sure the client is comfortable and tell them the
Reiki session is going to begin.
12. If clients arms are not on the side of the body you may ask the client to
place there hands at their side.

13. Start by rapping the client. Fold blanket and sheet down to the gluteal
cleft.

14. Ask client to close there eyes and relax and take several deep breaths in
and out.

15. Once practitioner is in a meditative state the practitioner will write each
symbol with the fire finger onto the hand and say each symbol 3 times. The
practitioner will then repeat these steps on the opposite hand.

16. Once symbols are placed on the hands the practitioner then draws out
the symbols just above the clients body using the fire finger while repeating
each symbol 3 times.

17. The practitioner will then stand over the client with hands slightly above
the clients head never actually touching the client and work all the way down
to the feet.

18. As the practitioner is working toward clients feet the practitioners hands
may feel hot or get a tingling sensation over a certain area of the body.

19. The practitioner will then place hands over the area of the sensation and
feel for warmth from the client.

20. Once the targeted area is found the practitioner may choose to place
hands directly over the effected area.

21. The practitioner will then leave the hands on the target area until they
feel that the warmth or tingling sensation is gone (energy transfer) or until
practitioner is ready.

22. Practitioner will continue to do steps 18 through 21 to client, working all

the way down to the clients feet or until the practitioner feels that the
treatment is completed in the prone position.

23. Once practitioner is complete with the prone position the practitioner
should again draw out the Reiki symbols using the fire finger just above the
clients body and wipe away any negative energy.

23. You will then tell client that are going to have them turn to the supine
position.
24. Tell client before they turn you will lift covers from the top making what
appears to be a "tent" for the client and ask client to lay completely on the
table not using the face cradle.

25. Take the sheet and blanket and pull up from client so the sheet and
blanket are being held up in a way that creates a shield or tent for the client
to discreetly turn to the supine position. Practitioner should also turn head
away from client while repositioning.

26. Once the client states that they are ready the practitioner will gently
place the blankets over the client so the entire front is now covered.

27. Based on the practitioner you may or may not drape the client, it is
based on the comfort level of the client.

28. Make sure clients arms are at the sides of body over the sheet and
blanket.

29. Practitioner will then ask the client to close eyes and relax and take
several deep breaths in and out.

30. Practitioner will again draw out the Reiki symbols using the fire finger on
both hand and say each symbol 3 times and practitioner will draw out the
symbols again just above the clients body and repeat each symbols name
three times.

31. Practitioner will once again repeat steps 17 through 21.

32. Once the Reiki session has ended the practitioner will then complete the
session by wiping away the negative energy and make the final Reiki symbol
just above the clients body.

33. Quietly inform the client that the Reiki session has ended.

34. Let client know that they may relax for a moment before getting up and
exiting the room.

35. Tell client you will be leaving the room and will be just outside the door.

36. Once the client has exited the room, ask if the client has any questions
regarding the Reiki treatment.

37. Once clients have had all questions answered, inform client to drink
plenty of water after the session and offer water if available.

39. Rebook client for next session and give business card and tell client to
feel free to call with any questions they may have.

40. Once client has exited building, clean table off with sanitizer and put
fresh fitted sheet, sheet and blanket over table and prepare for next client.
