 How do you define the Field Definition Table (FDT)
of your database
 How do you create the Work Sheets (FMT), Field
Select Table (FST) and the Display Formats (PFT) of
your database

 How do you create additional FMTs and PFTs
 Finally, how do you create & modify a library
database using WinISIS

the menu bar
and then on
NEW or

 The FDT consists of six parameters for you to define the
structure of the records in your database

TYPE: 3 different types

NAME: The name
(Alphanumeric,
TAG: a unique label by which the

the five formats

format the system
automatically creates
it and you can move
to the next stage in
the same way as you
moved from FMT to
PFT

• In your new database click on
EDIT in the menu bar. Then
you will get this menu of
which the four lines at the
bottom will allow you to edit
the FDT, FMT,PFT and FST.
• By clicking on the relevant
line, the related component
will open, e.g. clicking on Field
Definition Table will open the
FDT
