• The Government has signed agreements with
private companies such as the Tatas, Reliance
and Microsoft to set up rural business hubs in
the country.
• These rural hubs would help farmers sell their
produce at the best possible price.
• Better electricity supply would be ensured so
that the e-governance programme takes off in
rural areas
• Partnership between the
Government of Karnataka and
the Azim Premji Foundation
• To establish and run community
learning centres in the schools
in rural areas, especially in
certain backward districts
• Aims at equipping the rural
schools with state of the art
learning resources driven by IT.
