To Whom It May Concern:

Attached is a copy of my academic petition to have a transfer credit in your department

re-evaluated. I formerly attempted to have this credit re-evaluated through the General
Education department, but they informed me that this is a matter for the specific department.

I recieved credit as HIST 0001-- History Elective for a course that I took at my former
college, the University of North Texas. Likewise, I believe that the course HIST 2120 here
matches most closely with my former school's course. The catalog description is as follows:

HIST 2120. American Military History. (3)

A survey of the development and organization of military practice from the colonial period to the
present. (Spring)

The course catalog description at the University of North Texas is as follows:

HIST 4071. Korea, Vietnam and the American Military Experience. 3 hours. Analyzes the
American military policy that emerged after WWII in context of the American military experience
from 1945 to 1975. Investigates how the Korean War and Vietnam War represent a break from
the traditional American practice of war.

While the descriptions are not identical, I believe that the course I have taken should
give me credit for HIST 2120 instead of simply a history elective. I would appreciate your
consideration because HIST 2120 is a requirement for my minor of Army ROTC.

Very Respectfully,
