 ABSTRACT

Repository and Search Engine for Alumni is purely a college related system used
to keep track of the details of all the alumni’. The importance of this project comes from
the need to retrieve the details of old students of a college when required. This
application helps to have more contacts with past friends, colleagues and the other
student details.The repository and search engine (RASE) is an internet based application
that can be accessed throughout the world. Any one can enter his/her details like name,
year of passing, roll no, contact number, present address, permanent address etc. which
are validated and stored in database and A Search Engine is provided in order to search
for an Alumnus by their name or branch or year of passing out. It also enables users to
access the search engine to know about any alumni of the college but can't be able to add.
This is mainly advantageous to colleges and universities for maintaining perfect record of
all students.Our project is aimed at developing a repository for the alumni of the college,
which is of importance to a college. The Repository and Search Engine (RASE) is an
Internet based application that can be accessed throughout the World by anyone who has
a net connection. Any one can access the search Engine to know about any Alumni of
that college but can’t update it. Only the college alumni can register and in the process
can update their profile. It is very simple to use and operate which automizes the whole
manual process. Engaging interested alumni intellectually and socially is our goal.
