Houston ISD students improved on the Texas Assessment


of Knowledge and Skills in three subjects this year, while
scores declined or stayed flat in two others. Here are the
passing rates for students based on preliminary data:

Note: The scores include all versions of the TAKS test, including those
modified for special-education students. Some scores could improve
after students who retook the test in grades 5 and 8 are included.
