Withanestimateddomesticconsumptionofsome270kb/d,Libyaisanetexporterofoil1.Europe
receives over 85% of Libyas crude exports, while about 13% heads East of Suez. In 2010 Libya
exported1.2mb/dofcrudeoiltoIEAcountries.Anadditional150kb/dofcrudeoilfromLibyawent
toChinain2010,accountingforsome3%ofthetotalChinesecrudeimports2.

LibyaexportsnaturalgastoItalyviathe520kmGreenstreamunderwaterpipelineandtoSpainin
the form of LNG. In the first 11 months of 2010, Italy imported 26 mcm/d of gas from Libya,
accountingforsome13%oftotalItaliangasimports.Inthesameperiod,Spainimported1.5mcm/d
ofgasfromLibya,accountingforslightlyover1.5%oftotalSpanishgasimports.
