Old Stratford Preschool has a temporary vacancy for a Preschool Practitioner working part-time hours (to be decided). The position will initially be for 12 months starting in September 2011 after which time the contract will only be renewed if the number of children at the Preschool allows.
Brief Job Description: Purpose: To work as part of the pre-school team under the direction of the preschool manager to provide safe, stimulating, high quality education and care for young children. Main duties: 1. work with small groups of children, ensuring to recognize each childs needs are met 2. listen, encourage, stimulate and ensure the safe keeping of the children including health and dietary requirements as well as hygiene matters 3. help to ensure that all activities reflect positively the linguistic, religious and cultural diversity of the community 4. to ensure complete confidentiality in respect of information regarding the children and families of staff which is attained as part of the job. 5. to take part in special events, outings, and visits and attend staff meetings and training as directed For a full job description or to apply please write to Dawn Higgs, Preschool Manager at the above address by Tuesday 28th June 2011.
