1, 2.2.2 Additional Resources : Word cards, pictures, sentence strips Aims : Pupils should be able to comprehend, answer the questions orally and rearrange the sentences according to the story heard. Objectives : a) Spell and read new words b) Answer questions orally based on the story. c) Rearrange the sentences . Previous learning : a) Pupils have learned about animals before. Possible problems : Getting pupils into groups. Assessment evidence : Pupils are able to arrange the sentences given correctly. Procedures : a) Teacher shows picture of grasshopper and ant. b) Teacher introduces new words regarding the story. c) Teacher tells the story about The Ant and The Grasshopper in dramatic way. Pupils listen attentively to the story. d) Teacher divides the pupils into groups. e) Pupils are required to arrange the sentence strips accordingly based on the story heard.

f) Pupils in groups present their story. g) Teacher asks oral questions pertaining to the story. Pupils answer orally. h) Teacher wants pupils to read the sentence strips again. i) Pupils do the worksheet on pg 37, rearrange the sentences and then copy the sentences according to the correct sequence.
