Family and Friends, OHeroes, Habitat for Humanity, and the University of Oregons Fraternity and Sorority Life

are joining together to organize the first annual Duck Build. The project will begin with fundraising and will ultimately end in the build of a home for a Eugene family in need. We are extremely excited and would like to get the Eugene community as well as our friends and family involved in the process. Duck Build is organized solely by students at the University of Oregon and it is something that we hope will become an annual project. This is not just a fundraiser to raise money but a project that will leave a lasting mark on our community. As students, we have spent countless hours focusing on our academics, the reason why we are at school. This project offers us a way to put the skills we have learned in the classroom to work. Our goal is to leave the University and the Eugene community a better place than it was when we began our journey here. While working on this project we will strengthen our leadership and business skills and ultimately come out of the process as better leaders in our community. Habitats for Humanity affiliates around the world have reached a fantastic milestone of building over 300,000 houses and serving over 1,500,000 people. The Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Eugene has been building homes since 1994. Since then there have been 43 houses built, serving 184 people. We hope to build the 44th house and to do that we need your help. We would be appreciative of any monetary donations that would help us reach our goal. We will be interacting with thousands of students on campus over the summer and through the beginning of next winter. Duck Builds mission statement is, to bring the University of Oregon's student body together for fundraising and organizing volunteers to build a house to benefit the local Eugene/Springfield community. We hope you can be a part of
this effort.

With great excitement, The Duck Build Team
