1.) What Filipino values, traits, customs or tradition brought out in each proverb you have written? The Filipino values that brought out in the proverbs that I have written are the hope, love, trust, generosity and wisdom to continue life. In terms of traits, it conveyed the undying faith in oneself in order to survive life s trials. It proliferate the unending journey in our life that we would encounter for us to be strong and bold to face the challenges in our way. While customs or traditions displayed are the Filipino norms such as never giving up easily, a friend to rely on, treasured memories forever in heart, trials and challenges and most of all being hospitality of the citizens of the Philippines. 2.) Choose a proverb that you like the most out of 5 reflect on this proverb & write how it may guide you in your life? The proverb that I like the most is that It is very hard to fail but it is worse never to have tried. because it captivates my heart to keep on trying even after you fail. It teaches me a lesson that failure is not the end rather a new beginning to make it a successful one. It gives me guidance that there may be harm in risking but there can also be regrets in doing nothing. So it is better to have tried so that you wouldn t have regrets though you fail. In failing, I would find inspiration to strive more in order to make that failure turn into a victory.

1.) What does the music make you think of? It makes me think of the life in province particularly the fishermen who catch fish in order to earn their living. But it is still not enough to support the need of their family. 2.) Does it suggest color, image or senses? What do the feelings evoke? It suggests the image of the natives in county and how they are living in order to survive. The feeling of pity and compassion stands out but with a joyous & entertaining music. 3.) What portion of the folk song you enjoy the most and what makes it appealing to you? I enjoy the most is the last portion wherein it connotes Guibakal sang tuba because it signify what the song is about. It is the result of the story of the folk song wherein Pilemon just bought tuba because he doesn t have any income in selling the fish that he catch because the market was destroyed. The appealing part is that he just ponders in drinking tuba in face of difficulty. It fascinate me for it renders the message it wants to put across. 4.) What are the customs & cultural values of the early Filipinos that are evident to the song? It is eminent that the customs & cultural values shown in the folk song signifies that the Filipinos are fond of drinking in face of difficulties in order to escape for a while in the trials they have encountered. It also conjugates that in every problem there is solution and enjoy life to the fullest. 5.) How does the folk song related to the ancestors life experience? The Folk Song is related to the ancestors life experience by means of having a hard time in getting an income in their field of work. It is because there is uncertainty in the profits they would accumulate in everyday of the life of the people living in Western Visayas. Also during the ancient time, life is at difficulty but in simple ways they survive & adapt to their nature.
