Chickens are already an integral part of human life. Chickens are one of the major sources of our foods. As a business, they offer an opportunity for people to earn big thats why there are many poultry farms in different places.

It is sad to say that there is no poultry business raised here in Masbate City to sustain the consumption of every Masbateos. Hopefully, this feasibility study about poultry raising will come true. Silayros Poultry aim to provide fresh, clean and affordable eggs to contribute poverty eradication in our community.

Job responsibilities Manager:

1. Supervise the job of caretaker and distributor.

Caretaker: 1. Responsible for feeding of chickens. 2. Responsible for cleaning of cage. 3. Responsible for giving of water to the chickens. 4. Responsible for collection of eggs. 5. Responsible for packaging of eggs.

Distributor: 1. Responsible for the delivery of eggs to the buyers.

Management proposals: 1. The personnel must know their job. 2. Good relationship between personnel and manager. 3. Recognition to the job well done. 4. Treat the workers as humans not a machine. 5. Give some reward to motivate the workers to their jobs.

Poultry Policy: 1. Feed the chickens on time. 2. Maintain the cleanliness of the chicken cage. 3. Always report, if theres a problem.

The caretaker are required to attend trainings on how to manage the poultry properly. The expenses on trainings are cover by the business. Budget PHP.3,000 each.

Market Feasibility

Market description

The product of the business is eggs. The target markets are the groceries stores, sari-sari stores and other commercial stores here in Masbate City. Since, most people are come here in the City to buy goods. This place would be a good market in this product. The consumers are the constituent. It does not require an age, sex or income level to consume this product. Everyone of us are the consumers. It is affordable and easy to prepare.

Demand Poultry is one of the growing sectors in Philippine agriculture with one company projecting an increase in demand by as much as 46 percent in 2011 compared to the demand in 2007. The projected demand of chicken eggs for the year 2012 is increase of 39.26% from the demand of 2009. It has been conclude that the demand of chicken eggs will increase rapidly as a result of increase on the price of meats and other products. There could be a greater chance to the poultry industries to increase their production. Therefore, the demand of chicken eggs is feasible to the market. Supply According to the Philippines Bureau of Statistics (BAS), the poultry subsector grew by 3.72 per cent in 2010 and accounted for 14.93 per cent of total agricultural production. Chicken and chicken egg production has steadily grown over the past few years.
