BARANGAY POBLACION BAKETBALL LEAGUE 2011 Ground Rules for Basketball Game The official opening of the Baketball

League 2011 of Barangay Poblacion will be on July 23-24, 2011 at 1:00 in the afternoon at Lagunde Basketball Court, Poblacion, Mambajao, Camiguin Submission for the list of team players (with attached Birth Certificate for Junior Division) shall be on or before June 27, 2011 Barangay Hall, Poblacion. INTER-SITIO CATEGORY 1. ELIGIBILITY OF PLAYERS 1.1 JUNIOR DIVISION shall be 18 years old and below during the Basketball League 2011. 1.2 SENIOR DIVISION No age limit. 2. TEAM REQUIREMENTS FOR INTER-SITIO CATEGORY 2.1 Each team player must be a resident of their respective sitio of Barangay Poblacion or has been a resident of (4) months from the commencement of the Basketball League 2011. 2.2 Each team shall be composed of a maximum of 15players and a minimum of 8 players and they shall all be allowed to play on the scheduled game. 3. ADDITIONAL TEAM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL DIVISIONS 3.1 Only those players who have played or have been present during the first round shall be allowed to play in the second round. 3.2 Each team is required to have an official coach in all games. The assistant coach and the rest of the 3 members of the coaching staff are allowed to stay at the team bench during the game unless otherwise they are ejected from the court for unauthorized acts during the game. a. Each team members shall be within the vicinity of the court during the scheduled game. b. The team shall only be allowed to play if they are all in basketball uniform and they must wear shoes. c. Allotted time for every quarter is 8 minutes. d. Allotted time for warm up is 3 minutes. 4. LEAGUE FORMAT 4.1 Registered teams are two divisions namely: SENIOR DIVISION. JUNIOR and

4.2 First round elimination. The management will conduct draw lots, whoever teams got the same number will compete for the first round in only one game. Whoever wins will have a chance to play for the second round. 4.3 Second Round (draw lots). 4.4 For the Final Round (draw lots). 5. GENERAL COURT BEHAVIOR 5.1 The proper conduct of the game demands full and loyal cooperation of the members of both teams (PLAYERS, SUBTITUTES, COACHES, ASSISTANT COACHES and TEAM FOLLOWERS) with the officials, table officials and commissioner. (Art. 47.1.1 FIBA Rules) 5.2 Any flagrantly unsportsmanlike behavior committed by a player, substitute, coach or team follower is considered as disqualifying foul. (Art. 47.1.1 FIBA Rules) a. Rules of conduct (Art 48) by FIBA Rules shall be observed by all team. b. NO player is allowed to play under the influence of liquor. c. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the bench during the entire game. d. NO changing of uniforms in the bench after the start of the game. e. Only Coaches and Assistant Coaches, Team Manager & Assistant Manager are allowed to sit on the bench during their scheduled game. 6. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE 6.1 The Team Captain in protest of the result of the game shall affix his signature in the score sheet using the space marked, TEAM CAPTAINS SIGNATURE IN CASE OF PROTEST immediately after the culmination of the game. 6.2 Protest shall be in a formal letter stating therein the case of the complaint and prayer, the resolution of the complaint shall be submitted within 24 hours after the game in protest to any member of the technical committee. 7. RESOLUTION OF COMPLAINTS 7.1 The technical committee shall decide the case within 48 hours after receipt of the formal complaint.

9. SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR FORFEITURE 9.1 A team shall lose the game by forfeiture if: It refuses to play after being instructed to do so by the referee. Its action prevents the game from being played. Failure to appear after fifteen (10) minutes from the scheduled time or unable to fill up five (5) players on the set time provided thereof. 10. PENALTIES ON GAME FIXING 10.1 Any team who is found to fix a game for its advantage or opponents advantage shall be disqualified in the league. 11. POSTPONEMENT 11.1 The management has the sole authority to postpone a game from its schedule particularly in the event of natural disaster. 12. OTHERS 12.1 The FIBA Rules shall be applied in other cases not specified within these ground rules. 13. COMPOSITION OF MANAGEMENT CHAIRMAN: ANA VICTORIA O.
