Film Festival Lauren Weathers February 3, 2011 One-of-one

With the recent poisoning of Toomer's oaks, Blue Ocean Film Festival, which highlights eco-terrorism, couldn't have come to Auburn at a better time.

Film producer Peter Jay Brown spoke about eco- terrorism in the oceans across the world. His film gave a close up look at the poachers of the sea, and it has caused massive changes in hunting laws all over.

The afternoon before his film aired, Brown talked to a small group of Auburn students about his adventures around the world and gave advice for achieving success like his own.

He ended on a note that hit close to home saying, eco-terrorism is not confined to the seas, but also occurs with the killing of trees. He urged students to not complain about what they see, but to

take action in preventing and changing what they don't like. ####
