Chess improves math scores

Why? 1. Is it related to school math curriculum? 2. Will mathematical puzzles improve math ability?

Method
Compare the chess knowledge learned to the learning outcomes of BC Ministry of Education math curriculum from Grades K to 7.

Results
1. More benefits to grades K to 4. 2. The skills learned in chess need to be brought to the attention to students. 3. Learn how to transfer chess skills to be used in math.

4. Examples such as algebraic notation, checkmate pattern, chess tactics, chess pieces values, chess moves. 5. Chess pattern is different from math pattern. 6. Chess distance is different from math distance, knight moves and pawn promotion. 7. Set theory is not widely taught nut is used in chess all the time. 8. Mathematical chess puzzles off more opportunities to learn.
