 Nyle and Ayur cater economy segment.  Dabur entered with low priced and mid-priced by launching Vatika henna where other player is ultra doux.  Premium segment is dominated by-biotique Shahnaz etc.  Chik focusing the rural consumer gained the market by launching sachets.  Himlaya drug company entered with 2-in-1 policy i.e. herbal and anti dandruff.

HLL has cost advantage due to local sourcing and established distribution network. P&G has high cost of production as it import raw material and its premium price sensitive to Indian market.
