: Synthesising the formation of image by plane mirrors and lenses : At the end of the class, students will be able to: i) State the characteristics of images formed by plane mirror and lenses. ii) Compare and contrast images of distant objects formed by convex and concave lens. Draw a labeled ray diagram.

Teaching Procedure: Stage Set Induction Instructional Activity Learning Activity -Teacher briefly explained about what are Students give attention and react by going to learn today. coming to the front of the class. -Teacher show the plane mirror and call upon one student and ask what was she/he saw on the mirror.

Development

-Teacher give lecture using power point about the characteristics of images that formed by plane mirror and lenses. -Teacher show the picture of concave and convex lens. -Teacher distributed worksheet to student and ask them to do it. -Teacher continue lecture on parallel rays through lenses. -Teacher continue lecture on how to draw a ray diagram for convex and concave lens on whiteboard. -Teacher give an activity for student by group to draw an image that formed by convex lens according to the instruction. -Teacher remind student about to fulfill the worksheet given.

Students give attention and understand by taking short notes.
