CBS 42 to Broadcast Deadly Deception, A One Hour Investigative Report.

WIAT TV, CBS 42, is honored to present a special one hour documentary entitled, Deadly Deception. The program will air from 9:00 to 10:00pm on Sunday August 7, 2011 on CBS 42. This investigative documentary uncovers a troubling truth impacting thousands of families in Alabama. For decades local industries have released pollution into the air, soil and water and have not been held accountable. CBS 42 examines the impact these actions have had on residents and shares the heartbreaking stories of illness, loss of life, and the devastation heaped upon local neighborhoods. Viewers will have a chance to hear why officials from the U.S. EPA., the State of Alabama, and even at the county level have failed to stop the pollution. Schools have knowingly been built on contaminated soil, cancer levels are higher than normal, residents are told to not grow vegetable gardens, yet little has been done to help. With Deadly Deception, CBS 42 gives residents a chance to be heard, holds officials accountable and sheds light on a very troubling situation. ###
